Anyone can assemble a team. The difference that matters is whether someone answers when the work is wrong — and almost nothing in this industry is structured so that anyone has to. Pixirain Labs is built the other way round.
Structure
Pixirain runs a catalogue of fixed-scope digital services — defined packages, published prices, bought online. That business is deliberately simple, and it is where the delivery rail was built and proven. Pixirain Labs is the same company and the same infrastructure applied to work that cannot be bought from a catalogue: scoped to one organisation, priced to that scope, and staffed accordingly.

Anyone can assemble a team. The difference that matters is whether someone answers when the work is wrong. Every engagement has one name attached to its outcome, and the escrow model means we are paid for delivery rather than for attendance.
An engagement that leaves you unable to operate the result is a failure with a good invoice attached. Source, infrastructure definitions, credentials and the reasoning behind the decisions all transfer. Dependence on us is not a business model we are interested in.
A scoping session that ends with us saying the project should not happen, or should be a tenth of its proposed size, is a good outcome. It costs us a proposal and saves you a year, and firms that cannot afford to say it are not advising you.
Software is now generated faster than it can be reviewed, and the layer that answers for whether any of it is any good barely exists. Assurance is not a side practice here — it is the thing we think the market is missing.
The delivery rail
None of the four below is a policy anyone could quietly stop honouring. Each is a property of the platform the work runs on — the same one the catalogue business has been delivering over.
Escrow
Funds are held against each milestone and released when you accept the work. Not on a schedule, not on an invoice date — on your approval.
Assignment
Work is assigned rather than tendered, and the assignment carries accountability with it. If the wrong person was chosen, that was our decision to make and ours to fix.
Deliverables
Every deliverable is a first-class record with a type, a version, a reviewer and a revision history. Nothing important lives in a chat message.
Ownership
A delivery lead is attached to the engagement and answers for it. Escalation is a name, not a support queue.
